I often think of her little tidbits (I went to the dentist still sweaty in my exercise clothes and how often can you find this many things you can eat at a summertime barbeque) as I navigate my way through trying to find time to exercise and eat healthily. Her workouts do not seem super hard â€“ this is a good thing â€“ but they GET RESULTS. Big time. More than anything Iâ€™ve ever done. I have had problems losing weight in the 10 years since I had kids. I just moved into the healthy range for % of body fat, which I attribute entirely to her workouts. She is super motivating with her positive energy, life experiences and willingness to email at any time of the day. She emailed and saved me from falling off the wagon several times! 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So many of us focus on weight and what the numbers on a scale says, but this is &#8211; surprisingly &#8211; not what any of us should be focusing on.</p>
<p>Manufacturers know that our society is struggling with weight problems. Because of this they put a lot of time and money into weight loss solutions, to help us of course. But, they are not really helpful. In fact, they are temporary on the occasion that they actually work. This temporary weight loss is damaging our self-image more and more, every time we try one and fail.</p>
<p>Our culture also has an issue with instant gratification, which is where these &#8220;lose 10 pounds in 7 days&#8221; diets come from. Losing weight too quickly is never healthy. Aside from this, manufacturers have taken advantage of this as well and there are numerous &#8220;get skinny quick&#8221; diets on the market. None of these are successful and all of them hurt our self-esteem and health over time; the more you try the more you are hurting yourself.</p>
<p>The point is there is no such thing as getting skinny quickly. Losing weight, building muscle, and becoming healthy all take time. You cannot starve yourself to succeed. In fact, you need to eat probably more frequently than you do now. You just need to make sure you are eating proper portion sizes, eating enough of the right foods (focus on protein, carbohydrates, and fat), and eating often enough that your body actually doesn&#8217;t have time to get too hungry. Yes, it really is this simple.</p>
<p>You should also implement a good exercise routine into your weekly schedule. Do you need to work out 2 hours a day, every day; no. In fact, if you have the right program, you can work out three times a week for about 20 minutes and see amazing results over time. Cardiovascular activity is great, and a good side program, but should not be your main focus. Instead focus on muscle; muscle burns fat, the more muscle you have the more fat you will naturally burn.</p>
<p>Just like you cannot get rich overnight, you cannot become skinny or thin in a matter of a week or so. If you want to be healthy and you want a body that people admire, you need to take care of it with proper diet and exercise. Nothing in this article would be a healthy long-term approach. In that spirit, here are a few tips:</p>
<p>1. Go Low Carb</p>
<p>Low carb diets are difficult to stick to over the long term, often lack the veggies and fiber that keep the body healthy, and can be hard to work into a busy schedule, even so, they work pretty well. The first few weeks on a low carb diet will be the most successful when it comes to weight loss. That being the case, they can be a great way to jump-start your loss as you enter a new fitness or weight loss program. Even today, when I hit a plateau or start putting on weight, the first thing I do is institute a low carb, low glycemic diet for two weeks, with great results.</p>
<p>2. Hit the Cardio</p>
<p>Cardio is a calorie-burner. Whether those calories are fat or muscle is an important consideration, but a secondary one if you&#8217;re looking for quick results. Intense cardiovascular exercise not only burns calories while you do it, but punches your metabolism into overdrive for hours afterward. If your focus in strictly on weight loss and not physical performance, try to wait at least an hour after a cardio session before eating, forcing your body to feast on itself in order to recover from the stress.</p>
<p>3. Meal Replacement</p>
<p>A no-brainer readily available in every grocery store and nearly all convenience stores and gas stations is the meal replacement product. Brought into the modern zeitgeist by Slim-Fast shakes, meal replacement products are just what they sound like &#8211; these bars or shakes are consumed in place of one, two, or all three meals daily. On the down-side, they&#8217;re boring. On the up side, they&#8217;re packed with all kinds of vitamins and minerals, so are less likely to leave you deficient in something your body needs than, say, a lemonade fast.</p>
<p>4. Fad Diets</p>

<p>The purpose of the program is to help men and women burn fat. It does so through intense strength workouts comprised of full body exercises that combine multi-jointed exercises and complex movements. Dr. Kareem believes that in order for your body to reach its potential in terms of fat burning and actual ability, that you need to engage in 3 dimensional exercises, meaning that you need to move forward/backward, side to side, and add rotational movement to it. The program includes a massive exercise library of over 583 exercises and I heard that it will continue to grow even further. Each and every exercise is shown in detailed video clips so you can easily maintain proper form to get optimal results and to reduce risk of injury.</p>
